Early Orthodontic Treatment for Children

Early orthodontic assessment and treatment in Dubai for selected childhood tooth, bite and jaw-development concerns.

Why Is Early Orthodontic Assessment Important?

An early assessment evaluates developing teeth, available space, jaw relationships and the child’s bite. It does not mean every child needs immediate treatment. Many children are monitored until a more appropriate stage.

When May Early Treatment Be Considered?

Selected problems may benefit from earlier management, including crossbites, severe crowding, early loss of baby teeth, protruding front teeth or developing jaw discrepancies. Treatment depends on growth, dental development and the specific problem.

Assessment and Treatment

The dentist examines the teeth, gums, bite and facial development. Photographs, scans or X-rays may be recommended when clinically necessary.

Possible care may include monitoring, guidance of tooth eruption, a removable or fixed appliance, expansion in suitable cases or a space maintainer. Early treatment does not always remove the need for braces later.

Supporting Your Child

Parents should help children clean around appliances, attend scheduled appointments and follow wearing instructions. Report breakages, discomfort or appliance loss promptly.
